Hate Encouraging European MP from Cyprus declared “non-grata” in Albania

“The decision for blocking the entrance of the European MP in Albania is based on diplomatic procedures”, declared the Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

“This decision comes as an obligation by the Albanian Constitution, in response to the extremist acts of the European MP, Eleni Theocharous. Her speeches, which encourage hate and damage the constitutional order of our country, by raising territorial claims against Albania, will no longer be done on Albanian lands. Based on diplomatic procedures, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs decides to ban Eleni Theocharous from entering the territory of Albania”, the declaration states.

This decision was taken after the reactions of the European MP on Twitter.
