The EU Commissioner for Enlargement said that he supports the right of protesters to express them in the Balkans, but he made it clear that any act of violence is unacceptable.
He underlined that the political changes can only be made through democratic processes, and that the EU will not be the referee of who will be in power.
On behalf of the Brussels’ institutions, he promised that he will keep protecting the European principles, but he refused violence as a political means.
Hahn gave these messages after meeting the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Federica Mogherini, and the Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia.
