Greece renews announcement of border closure with Albania: From August 17th all must have Covid-19 test with oneself

The Greek government has renewed the announcement for the closure of the borders with Albania until August 31, while very long queues in severe hot weather conditions have been created at both border crossing to Greece.

As of August 16, 750 people will be allowed in Greece at the Kakavija crossing and 300 in Kapshtica, the Greek side announced.

From the 17th, the coronavirus pcr test is required to enter Greece, issued by one of the certified laboratories or centers.

Greek authorities warn anyone attempting to obtain a falsified test will be prosecuted and dealt with harshly.

The reason for the warning is the publications in the Greek media that in Albania there are diagnostic centers that fabricate false covid-19 tests.
