Government’s unpaid debts reach 340 mln EUR

The Minister of Finances, Anila Denaj, declared that the government will keep paying unpaid debts by VAT regardless of the progress with the budget revenues.
For the first nine months, the budget revenues were 7.9 billion ALL les sthan the plan.
The Minister of Finances says that the cause for this is the economic slowdown and the overly optimistic plan that was set at the start of this year.
The government hopes that the economic situation will get better the next year, but not as well as it was assessed. This makes it even harder to keep the finances under control.
