Government extents concession term for SGS, Vehicle Inspection company

The Ministry of Infrastructure has extended the concessionary agreement with SGS, the company that carries out the annual vehicle inspections.
Sources from the Ministry said that the service will remain an exclusive right to the Swiss company until December 2020.
The service was given to the Swiss Company in 2009 for 10 years, which should have expired this Tuesday, on September 3rd, 2019, bt the Ministry chose to extend the concessionary until December 2020.
The Annual Vehicle Inspection service circulates 8 million EUR a year. Last Year SGS realized a profit of 1.6 million EUR, 20% more than 2017.
