The government has foreseen a lower economic growth for 2019, after a significant drop that was registered in the first semester.
The Ministry of Finances and Economy, Anila Denaj, said this Monday in Parliament that the main reason for the slowdown was the electricity and entertainment sectors. The latter includes the betting shops which were closed by government order.
The energy production has experienced a strong drop during 2019, due to the low level of rainfall.
