Government ally SMI writes three urgent remarks to PM

The Socialist Movement for Integration asked the government to take
immediate measures to facilitate the work of farmers before the
production peak.

The letter is signed by the SMI Parliamentary Group leader and is addressed to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finances, the Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Social Welfare.

The Minister raises concerns about the legal vacuum that foresees payments in cash for agricultural products in markets, a handicap that Vasili says it should be corrected with urgency.

“Most of the farmers don’t own bank accounts and are kept far from these services, which unfairly excludes them from the sale of their products”, Vasili says.

Vasili says that the government should intervene with a normative act to allow sales in cash up to 100.000 ALL For farmers in agricultural collection.
