Gjinushi: DP-SP, scheme for robbing mandates

Small parties have more discontent for the Electoral Reform Commission
and accusations for a secret cooperation between the Democratic and
Socialist Party for weakening the small ones in the next Parliamentary
elections.

The Social Democratic Party leader, Skender Gjinushi, declared that the electoral reform is failing, because it is prefabricated, and is repeating the same scenario of 2009.

“On one hand we make reforms for not stealing the vote, and on the other we keep systems that steal mandates. They say that the small parties live off of the big ones, and invented the “First Dushk”, and then “The Second Dushk”, for commanding the votes between the small parties. They are keeping the so called “Spanish Model”, for eliminating the small parties. What will be deformed, is the Albanian vote, because in 2009 there were 170.000 votes without being represented at the Albanian Parliament, 15 to 16 mandates have been deformed, while Berisha governs with four bought mandates”, Gjinushi declared.

Skender Gjinushi asked the Socialist Party to not support the DP in the next electoral reform steps.

“We understand the Democratic Party, which thinks that they will benefit again from a perverted system, but we don’t understand the position of the Socialist Party. If the SP will accept a reform that fulfills the caprices of the DP, it will fail; it will damage democracy and the opposition. SP must not be on the reform table to serve as an alibi for the fake reforms of the Democratic Party”, Gjinushi declared.
