German Parliament votes to open EU negotiations with Albania.

The German Parliament discussed for more than half an hour about the proposition of the CDU/CSu and SPD parties, to open the EU accession negotiations with Albania and Northern Macedonia

The MPs held a hidden vote procedure, and 365 voted in favor, 188 against and 16 abstained for Albania. For Northern Macedonia there were 465 votes in favor.

This was also confirmed by Luigi Soreca on Twitter, and also by the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn.
