Gentian Sala, a lawyer, will be the Chairman of the Audiovisual Media
Authority. The MPs have voted him with 79 votes in favor and one against
against this mandate that will lead an institution that has been in
total stalemate for years.
The Parliament MPs voted for the four candidacies that were competing for AMA. The candidacies were Gential Sala, Anila Basha, Gentian Skenderaj and Bers Hado. Skenderaj’s candidature received three votes in favor and 71 agains; Basha received 20 in favor, 48 against and 10 abstained; Hado received four votes in favor and 69 against.
The opposition continued its political boycott, by giving up from the right to eliminate two candidacies and then vote them.
