Gaiani: Banking system is stable

The Italian Ambassador, Massimo Gaiani, declared from Shkoder that justice should be allowed to do its job.

“There is an undergoing investigation, and we are waiting for the court’s decision. I cannot say anything else, but it is important to guarantee the independence and professionalism of the Bank, which is a very important institution. I can say that the calmed markets show that the banking system is solid and works normally”, the ambassador declared.

Critics against opposition’s boycott
Italian Ambassador: “Politics and debate are held in Parliament”

When asked about the opposition’s boycott, Ambassador Gaiani said that the opposition’s place is in Parliament.

“We have invited all political parties to work together and develop dialogue. Parliament is where democracy is built. I want to take advantage of this occasion to make an appeal for improving this dialogue and create cooperation possibilities”, the Italian Ambassador declared.
