Ruiz Calavera, the Head of the International Monitoring Operation, preferred not to answer to Top Channel’s question about the pace of the Vetting Process.

On the second day of her visit, she met with the former MPs of the opposition, who brought a series of complaints about the judiciary reform.

None of them gave details about their requests to Mrs.Calavera, who is also the Western Balkan Director at the European Commission, but the MPs forgot a document with the complaints which Top Channel has obtained.

In that document, they complain about the way the Prosecutor General was appointed; about Bujar Sheshi, the member of the Supreme Council for the Prosecution, who is accused of being a former collaborator of the communist Secret Service. Another complaint was about the transferring of the prosecutors who investigated former Interior Minister Tahiri.

They also complained about Donika Prela, saying that there is reason to believe that she was banned from travelling to the USA. They also complained that candidates Metani, Kokona and Gjoncaj are directly tied to the Socialist Party.

The opposition members asked the IMO Chief to reorganize the role of this institution with the Judiciary Reform, so that their recommendations do not lose its value and so that the institution preserves its significance.

According to the former MPs, the transparency regarding the IMO recommendations is zero, since they cannot be found on the websites of the Independent Commission of Qualification, the Special College of Appeal, or the Public Commissioner.

Top Channel’s journalist, Muhamed Veliu, secured these documents.
