The former oil worker from Marinza, Irakli Gjata, is unable to register his property, which is being exploited by Bankers Petroleum.
He received it in 1991, but today it is surrounded by three oil wells.. There is an oil pipeline that goes through it.
Irakli is unable to plant anything on it or even to take compensation, since the land was mistakenly registered as if it was up on the hill.
“I have spent a lot of money on this land. Maybe they gave me the wrong land. I don’t know, but I have invested on it”, the former oil-worker says, as he asks for help.
