Fiks Fare investigative program denounced the two sides of Albania tonight; luxury expenses to host EU delegations and the miserable state of the State Reserves.
On the one hand, the heads of state are pompously waited upon during the Berlin Process Summit, with flowers, fancy foods and gifts, when on the other hand the Reserve warehouses of the country have no grain or fuel.
On Monday, Tirana roads were under “state siege”, as a good part of the capital roads were blocked to receive EU and Balkan officials. The organization of this event was entrusted to the Directorate of Government Services, a directorate that manages the reception and rest houses of the heads of state.
1.1 million euros were spent to host EU delegations. Half of this money was spent before the Summit and the other half only on Monday.
Fiks Fare continued the research, discovering a total of 17 tender procedures carried out within a short time. 1.3 million ALL was given for “cooking and catering services and support staff”.
Fiks Fare found that an amount of 1.1 million euros was used to host the EU delegation, for the Berlin Process Summit, so that Albania looked rich in the eyes of the international community!
But the grain and fuel items are 0 in the state reserves! Meanwhile, surprisingly, the Directorate of State Reserves conducts auctions for other goods. A few days ago, it was published in the Public Procurement Agency that Fieri’s reserves want to sell “various industrial goods such as bathtubs, various bras, men’s underwear, bath robes and gambling card sets”. In this announcement, a list of these items is given, which in total have a value of 164 thousand ALL.
So the state reserves don’t have fuel and wheat, but they do have bras, underpants and playing cards!
