Flowers and candles in Tirana, in homage to the victims of tragic accident in Bulgaria

Dozens of citizens gathered today in the central square “Skanderbeg” in Tirana to pay tribute to the 44 Albanian-Macedonian victims of the tragic accident that occurred in Bulgaria.

Citizens laid flowers and candles to remember the lives lost two days ago in the accident on the Bosnek highway near the Bulgarian capital Sofia, around 02.00 in the morning.

44 people, mostly Albanians of which a dozen children, lost their lives in the accident of Tuesday morning in western Bulgaria.

The bus with Macedonian license plates, departing from Istanbul to Skopje, collided with road barricades and then caught fire.

Children were also among the victims, while only 7 people were able to escape alive.
