The pictures shows the consequences of more than a month of flooding in the area of NënShkodra in the village of Obot, in northern Albania.
This is a greenhouse whose only the name is left as everything in it has been destroyed by the floods, starting from the crops to irrigation system.
Now for the farmers, preparing of these lands for the spring season seems almost impossible.
Martin Berthamza has planted his lands with fruits and vegetables but they have also been severely damaged.
With the waters now receding, he says another problem has emerged, the large-scale pollution that threatens to cause epidemics in villages. For several days, the municipality of Shkodra has set up field damage verification groups but for the residents of these villages the hopes for compensation are low.
