“Filomena” storm comes to the Balkans, meteorologists: Albania to freeze at the weekend

The “Filomena” storm that covered part of Spain with snow is heading to the Balkans. The storm that brought about 20 cm of snow to Madrid and left at least 7 dead all over Spain, will soon affect Albania.

Weather forecaster Adiola Bani Invited to “Wake Up” sshow on Top Channel, showed how the weather expectation in the coming days.

“In many parts of the world we are seeing extreme weather phenomena becoming more common with a higher degree of ferocity. The storm is predicted to come today around the Balkan countries and Albania. It is not that we expect to have significant amounts of snowfall as the qeather will mostly be clear. The main topic these days will be the reduction of temperatures, maybe up to minus 13 in the mountainous areas and mainly the northeastern areas of Albania. It is expected that on Friday and at the weekend, the whole country will have frost”, said Bani.
