“Fiks Fare” program on Top Channel returned tonight to the painful problem of fraud for visas and work contracts in European countries.
In the editorial office of the investigative show complained a husband and wife, who had applied to an internet ad for work visas in Austria for 1500 euros.
They said that they went to Austria and worked for about 2 and a half months and after that the owner told them that he would take them to Croatia to draw up the work contract.
But the scheme was clear; they were kept on the job for the 3 months allowed under the Schengen movement, they worked overtime, and part of the money was kept to pay the 1500 euro contract, which never came.
The deceived citizen reports: “The person who told me he will issue you a work visa had a cleaning company. He simply asked that we were are not under criminal prosecution. He was in the city of Salzburg, in Austria. We arrived at 02.00 in the morning and at 08.00 in the morning we went to work. The visa never came. In Austria we cleaned hotels and restaurants. The person’s name was Idriz Rexhepi, he introduced himself to us as an Albanian from Kosovo. We started work and we stayed for 2 months and a few days. The price was 1500 euros for 1 visa. 1500 euros for me and 1500 euros for my husband. We would pay for this with the work we would do. He would keep our work money”, says the woman.
She further claims that the visa and employment contract never came out. “He gave my husband some kind of contract in Croatia. I don’t know how he made that contract. We went from Austria to Croatia. In Croatia we got a residence permit and a contract. Not with that person, but a contract with another person.
“He does it to deceive the people, because he keeps them at work for 1 to 2 months, keeps the money and then kicks people out. The people there told us that for 6 months there were over 90 different workers. He had the scheme ready. He kept and exploited people. He registered us in Croatia, which had nothing to do with Austria. There we doubted and left the job”, the couple from Berat, in central Albania, told Fiks Fare.
“He told us to tear up the papers so that it doesn’t seem like you work for me. With the documents I received, I cannot work in Austria. If someone who is looking for work they tell them that their visa is over, then takes advantage of them and behaves badly so they leave on their own. We have work money withheld, 1780 euros for both of us. He didn’t give it to us. He misbehaved with the workers. In the end, he spoke to us in an offensive manner. We only want our money and we want these things not to happen to other people. There are many deceived people”, the Balla couple claim.
Fiks reporters contacted this person, whose name is Idriz Rexhepi, asking him about the complaints that arrived at the newsroom of the investigative show. He said that “these claims are not true”.
“They have come to work here. That lady had health problems. This guy was released from his contract but suddenly they disappeared. Yes, this boy has run away and they told me that they had problems in Albania and ran away,” he said, as journalists asked him that at first he promised the citizens that they would have Austrian papers.
“I didn’t tell them anything about Austrian papers. It is not true. I don’t understand what it has to do with it. Citizens of Albania are not allowed Austrian papers. I told him about documentation in Croatia and this guy got them in Croatia”, affirms the fictitious guarantor of visas and work contracts.
Fiks Fare asked Rexhepi if “in Austria, these citizens have worked illegally (without paperwork)”. He answered again that “it is not true”. But when the journalists told him that we have photos and videos andthen he replied; “what do you want from me?”
In fact, Fiks Fare asked Mr. Rexhepi just some information about all these claims, as he again insists that “it’s not true, I didn’t promise them the docuiments in Austria. I told him the papers in Croatia. They told me that they will go home because they have sick people”.
