Fight in Parliament, Rama: We will not hamper the Prosecution

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, reacted on Facebook about the
trial against the two Socialist MPs, Arben Ndoka and Pjerin Ndreu,
accused of hitting the Democratic Party MP, Gent Strazimiri.

Rama says that the Prosecution has not taken this kind of action for far more important matters.

“In a country where people have been shot dead on the boulevard, where masses have been beaten and blood has been shed, without the Prosecution taking any measure for those who are responsible, the step taken by the Prosecution against two Socialist MPs doesn’t look equal to the other stances of the Prosecution, even about cases which have been far more important”, Rama writes.

However, the Prime Minister says that “the majority will not complain for the Prosecution, and will not use the police like our predecessors to avoid justice and to use force for stopping them from doing their job.”

“I guarantee you that this will be our stance for any case raised by the Prosecution against anyone in our coalition, Parliament or local government. The Prosecution has been hampered by many things, for many years, starting from the lack of courage and integrity. But one big obstacle has been removed this time, and that is the government”, Rama added.
