Fight against corruption, EU: “Recommendations should be taken seriously”

After valuing Albania’s efforts against corruption, Roma Vlahutin, Head
of an EU delegation in Tirana, asked the Rama government to intensify
the fight. She underlined that an action plan is needed and the
recommendations of the international factor should be taken seriously.

“An action plan is needed and the recommendations should be taken seriously. I want to underline that the government should also evaluate the usefulness of our will, and they should do the same by cooperating with us. We need a commitment in higher levels. The media and civil society should also cooperate. We must be a pair that fights corruption. However, I want to congratulate what you have done so far for corruption. The EU will keep supporting you in this direction”, Vlahutin declared.

Vlahutin released this comment during the conference “Corruption and Welfare”.
