Incidents on the New Year celebrations were fewer than the other years.
The first one took place in Durres, where police declared that a 12 year
old had been wounded on his legs by firearms.
Police declared that this was the only incident in the Durres district, with 420.000 residents.
The biggest district, that of Tirana, did not notify any incident during the celebrations, but a young man from Bathore has been sent to hospital after being wounded in still unclear circumstances.
A woman was also wounded in Gjirokaster, Lazarat, but none of the three cases had serious or life-threatening injuries.
Police says that the first days of 2014 have started better than the previous years as regards fesetive incidents.
