Father and son stabbed after confrontation with thieves in cannabis barn

Two people, a father and a son, were stabbed last night in Mavrova near Selenica in the south of Albania, after they clashed with 3 people who entered their barn at night to steal the illegal cannabis produce.
Police forces said three yet unidentified individuals had entered the house of Fatjon Dautaj, 31, and the latter’s father Vilson Dautaj, 60, to steal the amount of cannabis produce they had hidden in the barn.
In the vicinity of the camp were later found the father and son, who resisted the robbery and as a result were injured.
During checks of the area, the police services discovered 180 cultivated narcotic plants, which were destroyed.
It is suspected that the narcotic plants were cultivated by the survivors of the attack, Fatjon Dautaj and Vilson Dautaj, to whom 2 firearms were found and seized during the search of the apartment.
They are now admitted the Vlora Regional Hospital, where the 60-year-old is in the worse condition with 3 stab wounds.
The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecution continues to work to clarify the circumstances of the event and apprehend the perpetrators.
