Residents of the Mujalli village in Fier have blocked the construction
vehicles of TAP Pipeline, protesting the expropriation prices and
compensation for damaged agricultural goods.
50 families say they own every document for their property (50 hectares in total), adding that land is their only means of survival.
The land owners even clashed with police officers, who took six of them under custody.
Top Channel made an inquiry at TAP, who said they have paid everyone who have documents. “TAP is waiting for the ownership documents and we have already started compensating the damaged crops”, TAP said.
