Traffickers had placed high-end GPS trackers on the cocaine packages traveling from Ecuador to Albania.

The isolated packages were divided in four refrigerator containers that were transporting bananas on behalf of a company belonging to a businessman from Vlora.

Before entering Pyrus, the Greek authorities in cooperation with investigators from Albania decided to add their own trackers and let the package keep traveling.

The investigators replaced the cocaine with pressed rice, which was more similar to the drug.

The operation moved from the Pyrus Port to the Durres Port, right after the four containers were on the move on the same ship.

Safe sources confirm that right after entering the port, Gentian Malindi, now on the run, uses the badge and stays in the car.

The other suspect is Ardian Bega, whose job is to patrol the surrounding areas.

The third person is Altin Myslyhaka, who goes to the container and takes the drug bag.

Bega confirmed that Malindi asked Mysylhaka to touch one of the packages and see if it left a mark when pressed with the finger.

Then he cut the package open and right after noticing that it was rice, he ordered the other ones to not say a word because they were being under surveillance. Then they have thrown the packages.

The Police didn’t explain how the car driven by the traffickers, which had a GPS on it, was able to disappear together with the drug.

The police only found the rice, thanks to their own tracking device. They identified the persons who were receiving one of the four packages, and the rest of them were retrieved by the authorities. The police have many suspects right now, but not enough evidence.
