As declared by Top Channel this Thursday, the experts of the company
which produced the EC 145 helicopter that fell in the Shkoder Lake have
arrived in Tirana and were received by representatives of the Ministry
of Defense. The group then left to the Shkoder Lake, where Captain
Florian Delia and Lieutenant Donald Hoxha lost their lives.
The EC 145 helicopter had arrived in Albania as part of a party of helicopters purchased by the Ministry of Defense. The Military Chief of Staff said that the purchased helicopter was still covered by the warranty period. The reasons why the helicopter fell in the Shkoder lake is still unknown.
After Gerald Baramuca was saved from the accident, the RENEA divers took out the bodies of the victims. The army and police kept guarding the helicopter. The RENEA divers are wiaitng on site for the French experts of Airbus Helicopter.
