The European Union has separated Kosovo’s map from Serbia in their official web page, europa.eu.

The information presented in this website specifies that Serbia has an area of 77.474 square km, while Serbia’s official website says that it is 88.361 square km.

On the same time, Serbia’s population is calculated without Kosovo. The Serbian media have contacted the Foreign Ministry, which said that they will ask official explanations from Brussels.

Kosovo’s independence was declared on 17 February 2008, and has been recognized by 22 EU member states. Spain, Romania, Slovakia, Cyprus and Greece refused to recognize it.
