EU Commissioner for enlargement: Albania and Northern Macedonia should start EU accession negotiations

On his visit in Sopje, the EU Commissioner for enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, declared that Albania and Northern Macedonia are ready to start the EU accession negotiations.

“We firmly stand by the idea that Albania and Northern Macedonia should start the EU accession negotiations.

“The decision of the member states should be made before the EU Summit in Zagreb in May”, emphasized Vrhelyi in a joint press conference with the caretaker Prime Mnister of North Macedonia, Oliver Spasovski.
