The Albanian opposition, both that parliament and the one outside it, has accepted the invitation of the Prime Minister Edi Rama for dialogue on the Electoral Reform, at the table of the Political Council.

The socialist leader of the roundtable Damian Gjiknuri, announced that the Political Council would convene on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 22, but the United Opposition has requested that this meeting be postponed to tomorrow, Thursday or the day after tomorrow, Friday.

The agenda of the meeting specifies that the Political Council will continue to discuss in good faith, seeking to reach common solutions where and when it is possible to address key ODIHR recommendations regarding: (1) vote-buying; (2) pressure on voters and public administration; (3) misuse and abuse of public administration; (4) collusion with criminal groups; (5) freedom and secrecy of the ballot; and (6) manipulating and falsifying election results.
