The Police of Elbasan reacted after the declaration of Lulzim Basha, Democratic Party leader, who accused them of hiding the fact that they had arrested a man who had 800.000 EUR with him and two driving licenses of Saimir Tahiri.
Police say they have published the fact on their official site, and that all procedural paths were followed.
“The session against Economic and Financial Crime at the Elbasan Police has arrested Orest Sota, 25, resident in Tirana, administer of a private company. He was caught without a driving license on his Land Rover, and a large quantity of money that he was using to pay bills, but without the document of origin on him”, Police said.
The Elbasan Police appeals the opposition leader to not use anonymous sources and misinform the public.
