The work for the reconstruction of the common spaces of the residential buildings damaged by the earthquake of November 26 last year, has started in Durrës.
Authorities report that works are being carried out in various neighborhoods of the city and the ‘Shkembi i Kavajes’ beach area.
In the 18th district where many families were injured and left homeless, as well as 7 people tragically lost their lives, scaffolding is erected in several buildings.
The works are being carried out by companies tendered by the Municipality of Durrës and include the repair of facades, staircases and walls of elevators.
With the distribution of reconstruction grants to 8900 families so far and the beginning of the repair of the common premises of the palaces, the way is opened for the return to normal of thousands of damaged Durrës families.
Currently, contracts have been signed for 7 campaigns for the reconstruction of the common premises of 458 buildings. Other mansions are expected to be involved in this process.
