Unemployment remains a challenge for Albania, according to Deutsche Welle, and the mai reason why youth is leaving the country.
The long article dedicated to this topic starts with the example of a 24-year-old girl, identified as Elona, who has graduated for English but has been unable to find a stable work.
She has worked for three months with a call center, has worked with translations on a foreign project about the agricultural crediting, and has been unemployed for the past six months. She plans to leave the country together with her boyfriend, who also doesn’t have a stable job.
DW says that Elona is not the only one with this problem. Not only in Tirana, but in every other district. This has a very negative impact in a country like Albania, with an average young population.
This was verified by a study published these days by the European Commission, which identifies that the unemployment level for generations 15-29 years of age is 32.2%. The more you move from urban to rural areas of Albania, the rate is even higher.
Quoting various experts, the German Public Institution for the Foreign World says that the Albanian youth has received university offer that only mas the real unemployment figures, while their studying format are outdated and with no market demand.
