Different from Lulzim Basha, who considers the drug caught in Durres as the cooperation between the state and crime, Edi Rama says that this proves the determination of this government to fight crime.
“The recent operation marked one step ahead of our country in the fight against organized crime. This is the biggest drug bust in our country, through the cooperation of our law-enforcing agencies which are winning this confrontation each day more. Certainly, the integrity of our law-enforcing agencies is very significant. In the Europena market this drug would have reached a price of 180 million EUR”, Rama wrote on Facebook.
Rama said that the operation was held in the Albanian territory without any information from European countries, showing the force of the law-enforcing agencies that Albania has today, starting from Customs.
“The biggest work was done by putting the Durres Pot customs under control, creating this way an efficient net of control. Right after the first signal from the Customs, the State Police started moving immediately, thanks to the cooperation between the Durres Port and the police”, the Prime Minister said.
