DP: “Rama ignores national interests, steps back for Kosovo”

The Head of the Democratic Party Department for Foreign Policy, Kreshnik
Collaku, said that the majority has shown irresponsibility at the
Council of Europe when representing the national interests, referring to
the passing of the resolution that brings back standards that used to
be there before the independence of Kosovo.

“The passing of the draft-resolution at the political committee of the Council of Europe passed without the presence of the only representative of Albania in this committee, Mrs.Valentina Leskaj. The amendments of Serbia could have been rejected if the Deputy President of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe had taken seriously the responsibility to be part of this political participation. The representative of Albania is indispensable in absence of the representatives from Kosovo. The diplomacy of Albania should have had a quicker reaction and in coordination with official Prishtina”, Collaku declared.

“Leskaj was apparently busy with the concessions and tenders of her sons, and had no time to be present at the political committee. Same as the entire government which is racing who can steal more, without caring of what is happening with the foreign or even internal policy of Albania and Kosovo. After UNESCO, this is the second failure of diplomacy under the leadership of Edi Rama. The interests of Kosovo and of our nation are not a priority for the corrupted and greedy government of Edi Rama”, Collaku declared.
