Tonight Fatmir Kolecaj, who killed his ex-wife and her brother two days ago at the door of their family house, exchanged fire with the police and later killed himself.
Authorities reported that a policeman was injured during a shootout at the Koleca’s apartment, which is in non-life threatening condition. When Kolecaj saw that he had no chance of escape from the apartment killed himself with a firearm, the authorities stated.
Multiple 45-hour searches by the police made possible the localization of the perpetrator who, in the afternoon had entered in his apartment in the village of Zejmen, Lezha through the surrounding forest.
Police officials said the author Fatmir Kolecaj did not respond to a call to surrender but opened fire unexpectedly on them.
