The EU General Director for Neighboring and Enlargement, Christian
Danielsson, held a two-day visit in Kosovo where he met with the
Parliament Speaker, Kadri Veseli.
Danielson guaranteed that the EU will support Kosovo to push forward the integration processes. He also announced a concrete program with economic reform, which will be made public today with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
Danielsson said that the EU will support kosovo financially, and during these years, the Union has supplied around 2.5 billion EUR for the country.
“We will publish the program for economic reforms, for the next year. We support Kosovo, this government and these people, so that we can upsh forward this agenda. You will have our concrete support, through concrete help. EU has secured 2.5 billion EUR during the years, and will keep helping”, he said.
Speaker Kadri Veseli said that Kosovo has a European and Western people. He underlined that the strategic priority of Kosovo remains EU accession.
Veseli said that the money deriving from IPA will be invested in innovation, education and for improving the judiciary system.
