Albanian weightlifter Daniel Godelli won golden medal at the European Weightlifting Championship held in Split, Croatia.
Godelli won over another Albanian, Erkand Qerimaj, who received silver medal in a discipline where Godelli was ranked sixth.
No one expected the victory in Split, after Godelli’s failed attempts with 156 and 158 kilograms. However, he was able to lift 161 kilograms in the third try.
