Covid-19 update/ Record number of infections: 257 new cases and 5 losses of life in the last 24 hours

Albanian health authorities said today (15.10.2020) that in the last 24 hours 1398 tests were performed which resulted in 257 citizens positive with the SARS-COV2 virus, while 5 citizens have died.
Meanwhile 102 citizens have recovered, bringing to 9864 the number of healed in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities:
83 cases in Tirana,
29 in Fier,
27 in Durrës,
20 in Shkodra,
14 in Korça,
12 in Berat,
11 in Elbasan,
8 in Mirdita,
7 in Lushnje,
6 in Tropoja,
4 cases each in Lezha, Librazhd, Kuçova,
3 in Kukës, Kavaja
2 cases each in Has, Vlora, Gjirokastra, Pogradec, Ura-Vajgurore, Divjakë,
1 case each in Kruja, Devoll, Kamza, Mat, Tepelena, Dibra, Prrenjas, Roskovec, Memaliaj, Gramsh.
Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 249 patients are being treated, 21 in intensive therapy.
In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, they have unfortunately lost the battle with COVID19, a 65-year-old man from Kavaja, a 75-year-old man from Elbasan and 3 citizens from Tirana: a 70-year-old woman, a 71-year-old man, a 77 year old woman.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to keep the mask in open spaces outside the home, in order to minimize the spread of infection.
