The Albanian Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens not to reduce their vigilance in enforcing anti-COVID rules, by placing a protective mask in any environment outside their home; avoiding clusters and maintaining physical distancing.
Regarding the situation of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the authorities said that they performed 3331 tests, out of which 670 citizens tested positive.
262 of the cases were in Tirana, 29 in Elbasan, 27 in Durrës, 25 in Fier, 23 cases in Lezha, Vlora, 21 in Kruja, 16 in Berat, 15 in Lushnje, 14 in Kavaja, 13 in Shkodra, 12 cases in Saranda, Dibër, Himara, 11 cases in Kurbin, Mat, 10 cases in Korça, Kukës, Cerrik, from 9 cases in Kamëz, Gjirokastër, 8 cases in Librazhd, Delvinë, 7 cases in Prrenjas, Shijak, 6 in Peqin, 5 cases in Mallakastër, Ura Vajgurore, Divjakë, Gramsh, Kuçovë, 4 cases in Pogradec, Tepelena, Roskovec, 3 cases in Mirditë, Skrapar, Vora, Patos, 2 cases in Memaliaj, Poliçan, 1 case in Has, Rrogozhinë, Përmet , Kolonjë, Klos, Dropull, Konispol.
In the last 24 hours, 505 citizens have recovered, while in 4 COVID hospitals 279 patients are being treated, of which 24 in intensive therapy.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 4 citizens from Tirana, Fieri, Kavaja and Mati, aged 37-77, lost the battle with the disease.
