In the last 24 hours in Albania, 1375 tests for Covid-19 have been performed, out of which 297 citizens resulted positive.
116 citizens have recovered from the disease, bringing to 10341 the number of healed since the beginning of the epidemic.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities:
111 cases in Tirana, 30 cases in Shkodra,
25 cases each in Durrës and Korçë,
18 cases in Elbasan, 14 cases in Pogradec, 12 cases in Fier,
9 cases in Vlora, 7 cases each in Kruja, Berat, Saranda,
6 cases in Lezha, 5 cases each in Lushnje and Kuçova,
4 cases in Kurbin, 3 cases in Cologne,
1 case each in Kavaja, Mirëditë, Mallakastër, Kamëz, Tepelena, Rroskovec, Shijak, Patos, Cërrik.
Currently, 257 patients are being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital and the “Shefqet Ndroqi” Hospital, 19 of which in intensive therapy.
In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately have lost the battle with COVID-19, a 61-year-old man from Saranda, a 70-year-old woman from Elbasan, a 73-year-old man from Tropoja, an 81-year-old man from Durrës, with concomitant diseases.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to the citizens to wear mask everywhere in premises outside the house, to keep the distance and take care of the hygiene.
