The Ministry of Health announced today (15.01.2021) that 3530 tests have been performed, of which 641 citizens have tested positive for Covid-19.
In the last 24 hours, 379 citizens have recovered, while currently 280 patients are being treated in 4 COVID hospitals, 33 of which in intensive therapy.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, 4 citizens did not win the battle with COVID19: 3 citizens from Tirana and 1 man from Gjirokastra, all ged 52-80.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
Authorities are urging citizens not to neglect the signs of the disease and to contact the family doctor to perform testing as well as follow-up and treatment at home. “Call the green line 0800 40 40 to find out your GP and the unique National Emergency number 127”, they add.
