COVID-19 update/ 661 new cases and 13 losses of life in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health announced today (14.12.2020) that 661 new cases of Covid have been registered and 13 citizens have lost their lives in the last 24 hours in Albania.

The announcement also states that a total of 2108 tests have been performed and in the last 24 hours 505 have been cured.

Positive cases were identified as follows: 178 in Tirana, 51 in Shkodra, 45 in Berat, 43 in Fier, out of 34 cases in Durrës, Elbasan, 28 in Vlora, 20 in Lezha, out of 18 cases in Korça, Mat, 16 in Kuçovë, 15 cases each in Kavaja, Mirditë, Gjirokastër, 13 in Lushnje, 11 cases each in Has, Pogradec, 10 in Mallakastër, 9 cases each in Kurbin, Puka, Përmet, 8 in Peqin, 7 cases in Devoll, Kukës, Tepelena , Dibër, 5 in Kolonjë, 4 cases each in Malësi e Madhe, Saranda, Librazhd, Kruja, and 2 in Skrapar.

Currently in 4 COVID hospitals, 433 patients are being treated, 24 of whom are in intensive care.

Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours 13 citizens with Sars-Cov2 failed to win the battle with the disease: They were 5 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Durres, 2 citizens from Elbasan, 1 citizen from Kruja, 1 citizen from Berat, 1 citizen from Kavaja, 1 citizen from Korça, aged 38-82.
