The Ministry of Health and Social Protection today gave details about the Covid-19 situation in the last 24 hours in Albania 2,174 tests were performed, of which 656 citizens tested positive.
Meanwhile 10 people have lost their lives to the disease.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities: 131 in Tirana, 78 in Lezha, 47 in Gjirokastra, 46 in Kruja, 44 in Durres, 31 in Vlora, 28 in Berat, 27 in Saranda, 24 in Elbasan, out of 22 cases in Kavaja, Përmet, 18 in Kukës, 17 cases in Kurbin, Lushnje, 16 cases in Librazhd, Gramsh, 15 in Tropoja, 12 in Puka, 11 in Malësi e Madhe, 7 cases in Tepelena, Kolonjë, 5 cases in Mat, Bulqiza, 3 in Korça, 2 in Dibër, and 1 case each in Fier, Pogradec, Delvinë, Peqin, Kuçovë.
Currently in 3 COVID hospitals, 469 patients are being treated, 15 of whom are in intensive care.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours 10 citizens Sars-Cov2 positive in COVID hospitals have lost their lives: 3 citizens from Tirana, 3 citizens from Durrës, 2 citizens from Fieri, 1 citizen from Vlora, 1 citizen from Gjirokastar, who were aged from 44 to 85 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
