Another 158 people have been infected with Covid-19 during the last 24 hours in Albania, while two citizens who had been affected by the infection for some time have lost the battle with the virus, the Ministry of Health announced today (Wednesday, August 19th).
During the last 24 hours, 864 tests were performed to assess the infection and 158 people were confirmed positive with COVID-19. The geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 81 cases in Tirana, 10 cases in Shkodra, 9 cases in Durres and Vlora, 6 cases in Korca, 5 cases each in Kruja, Fier, Lezha, Lushnje, Kamza, 4 cases in Kurbin, 3 cases in Kolonja, 2 cases in Mat and Klos, 1 case in Kukës, Kavaja, Berat, Gjirokastër, Saranda, Tepelena, Prrenjas.
Despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately in the two COVID hospitals, two citizens could not win the battle with the disease, a 60-year-old man from Tirana and a 62-year-old man from Shijak with concomitant diseases.
