COVID-19 update/ 545 new cases and 16 losses of life in the last 24 hours

The number of infected with COVID-19 has marked a relative decrease during the last 24 hours (28.11.2020) while out of 2,026 tests performed, 545 citizens have tested positive.

16 patients have unfortunately changed their lives.

Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in the following municipalities: 159 cases in Tirana, 40 in Vlora, 37 in Kavaja, 36 in Shkodra, 32 in Lushnje, 26 in Durres, 20 in Berat, out of 19 cases in Saranda, Elbasan, 17 in Fier, 14 cases in Kurbin, Pogradec, 13 in Tepelena, 12 in Mirdita, 9 in Gjirokastra, 8 cases in Puka, Tropoja, Peqin, Kolonja, 7 cases in Kukes, Librazhd, 6 in Gramsh, from 4 cases Dibër, Malësi e Madhe, 3 cases in Krujë and Korçë, Has, Përmet, Delvinë, 2 in Devoll, 1 in Bulqiza.

In the last 24 hours, 397 citizens have recovered, while 471 patients are being treated in the 3 COVID hospitals, 27 of which in intensive therapy.

During the last 24 hours, 16 citizens with Sars-Cov2 positive have lost their lives in COVID hospitals: 6 citizens from Tirana, 3 citizens from Fieri, 2 citizens from Berat, 1 citizen from Shkodra, 1 citizen from Lezha, 1 citizen from Gjirokastra, 1 citizen from Kuçova, 1 citizen from Përmeti, aged 49 to 86 years.

“The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to avoid contacts outside the family circle and any kind of gathering, in order to limit the spread of COVID19. Observe the rules of hygiene. The mask should be worn in any environment outside the home and social distancing is also a necessary measure to curb the spread of the epidemic”, the ministry writes, among other things.
