Covid-19 update; 241 new cases and 7 victims in the last 24 hours in Albania

241 people have been affected by COVID-19 during the last 24 hours, while 7 patients have not been able to survive, announced today (31.10.2020) the health authorities.

Positive cases in the country are now 20,875, of which 9,177 are actively ill patients. Thankfully 92 people have recovered, bringing the total number of the healed to 11,189, while the total death toll has reached 509.

Currently in 3 Covid hospitals, 319 patients are being treated, of which 16 in intensive care.

Most of the people who passed away today were relatively young, a 34-year-old man with a concomitant disease and a 44-year-old man without a concomitant disease, a 66-year-old man from Tirana, a 48-year-old man from Pogradec, a A 68-year-old man from Korça, a 68-year-old man from Elbasan, and an 81-year-old man from Fier with concomitant diseases.

At the Covid-3 Hospital, which opened today on the premises of former surgeries at QSUT, hospital services will be provided for patients affected by Covid19 in milder health condition.

Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in the following municipalities: 148 cases in Tirana, 25 in Vlora, 11 in Berat, out of 9 cases in Durrës, Lushnje, 8 in Fier, 5 in Shkodra, 4 in Mallakastër, 3 cases each in Kurbin, Mirditë and Peqin, 2 cases each in Kamëz, Gjirokastër, Kuçovë, and 1 case each in Elbasan, Përmet, Saranda, Delvinë, Tepelena, Ura Vajgurore and Gramsh.
