The Health Ministry announced today (Saturday) that in the last 24 hours 143 new cases and 6 losses of life have been registered in our country as a result of Covid-19.
“During the last 24 hours, 650 tests were performed on suspected Covid 19 patients, while 143 people were confirmed positive.
“The geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 45 in Tirana, 31 in Durrës, 17 in Korça, 6 cases in Shkodra, Kruja, Vlora, 4 cases in Elbasan, Lezha, Lushnje and Tropoja, 3 cases in Berat, Gjirokastra, 2 in Kavaja, 1 case each in Kukës, Mat, Malësi e Madhe, Prrenjas, Memaliaj, Klos, Gramsh, Shijak.
“In the last 24 hours, 51 citizens have recovered.
“Family doctors across the country are monitoring daily persons affected by Covid19 who are isolated in their homes. In case you are affected or have signs of the illness, contact your family doctor via the green line 0800 40 40.
“Unfortunately, could not win the battle with the disease, despite the efforts of doctors, a 58-year-old man from Tepelena, a 71-year-old in Durrës and 4 citizens from Tirana”, stated the ministry among other things.
