COVID-19, Ministry of Health: 3 deaths and 82 infected in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced today that unfortunately in the last 24 hours a 63-year-old man from Tirana, a 65-year-old man from Tirana and a 60-year-old man from Elbasan, all with concomitant diseases have lost their lives in the infectious hospital, despite treatment in intensive care and medical staff efforts.
The infectious disease hospital is currently treating 78 patients, 9 of whom are in intensive care, while 2 are intubated in serious condition.
Meanwhile, during the last 24 hours, 368 tests have been performed to suspect Covid19, of which 82 positive cases have been confirmed.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 30 cases in Tirana, 6 cases in Shkodra, Kavaja and Fushë-Arrëz, 5 in Vlora, 4 cases in Kruja, Durrës, Lushnje, 2 cases in Fier, Kurbin, Korçë, Berat, Dibër, Vau i Dejës, and from 1 case respectively in Elbasan, Lezha, Has, Puka and Rrogozhina.
The good news is that in the last 24 hours 43 citizens have recovered, bringing to 1559 the number of the healed since the outbreak of the epidemic.
Currently, there are 1034 active people in our country with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, Durres.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again calls on businesses to correctly implement safety protocols at work: to disinfect the premises, to perform regular ventilation, to use masks or protective barriers in every service subject for citizens, as defined by the health authorities protocols.
