Covid-19/ Italian doctors team completes Albanian mission, Manastirliu: Cooperation will continue

The team of Italian doctors and Civil Protection have completed today their mission in Albania by providing valuable experience for the teams of Albanian doctors in COVID hospitals as well as for the management and organization of the hospital.

The Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu received today the team of Italian doctors at the end of their mission in Albania, with the presence of the Ambassador of Italy in Albania, Fabrizio Bucci.

“Only through solidarity and unified actions will we be able to win the fight against the dangerous virus. Your experience in COVID hospitals and concrete advice on hospital organization are valuable and help our health system response strategy to the situation. I am convinced that this mission will not be the only one but our cooperation will continue in other missions “, said Manastirliu.

The Italian doctors expressed their appreciation for the team of Albanian doctors who are currently facing patients affected by COVID19 and expressed their readiness to continue the cooperation.

The Ambassador of Italy in Albania, Fabrizio Bucci said during the meeting that “this is only the beginning and the cooperation between our two countries will continue”.

Two weeks ago, the Italian Civil Emergency Task Force consisting of seven experts came to Albania to support our country in coping with the situation caused by COVID10.
