After more than 8 months in the pandemic, family doctors recommend vitamin therapy when infected persons are in the early or mild stages of the disease.
If the condition starts to worsen, treatment with antibiotics is started and depending on the condition, a switch to stronger antibiotics.
Pharmacists say there has recently been an increase in demand for oximeters and oxygen cylinders, which can be found in certain warehouses.
“The oximeter has become the apparatus of blood pressure or diabetes. However, there is not much demand, as people lend it to each other. Demand for oxygen cylinders has been on the rise. We had 10-20 of them last week. But we do not trade them. We recommend people to warehouses. There are people who are asymptomatic. Their symptoms are similar to those of the seasonal flu and require from pharmacies mainly anti-influenza medications “, said Laura Kuqi, pharmacist.
“We do not have any infections in the family. But in the neighborhood they have come, wearing special protective clothing for a neighbor. I have not felt this virus at all. I protect myself and so I will continue. I know people who have no symptoms and have passed it easily. But there are others who ended up in hospital, without realizing it at all”, says an interviewed citizen.
