The Minister of Health has published today the message of the director of the Covid-19 hospital, Dr. Perlat Kapisyzi, according to whom the virus has undergone a genetic mutation, increasing its infectious abilities.
“The Sars-Cov2 virus has undergone a genetic mutation where one of the most important new features is the one that makes the virus more contagious, increasing the viral load in the infected persons.
“Many studies since 1938 have proven that the higher the viral load, the more severe is the form, the higher the morbidity and mortality. And in this point of view, the virus has become more aggressive “, says Prof. Kapisyzi.
The doctor in the appeal for the citizens, adds that wearing the mask is a sacrifice to protect oneself and not to allow a second closure that would have grave socio-economic consequences.
